I. CHECKING THE METER CALIBRATION AND SET MEASURING UNIT |

The quality of the meter can be checked by using the Check Strip; the measuring unit can be set using the Quality
Check Mode. |

Step 1: Entering the Quality Check Mode
Insert the “check strip” to start the Quality Check Mode. |
|
|
| |
Step 2: Interpreting Results
A displayed value between 308 to 318 mg/dL (17.1 – 17.7 mmol/L) indicates the meter is in proper condition. If not, contact us for help. |
|
|
| |
Step 3: Setting Unit
Press and hold button to switch from mg/dL to mmol/L. |
|
|
| |
Step 4: Turning Meter Off
Remove the “check strip” to turn the meter off. |
|
|
| |
|
| |
II. CODE THE METER |
| |
Code the meter when a new vial of “test strips” is opened. Accurate results can only be obtained by using the
correct code number. |
| |
Step 1: Checking the Code Number
Insert a “test strip”, the meter will turn on and display the full screen followed by the pre-set Code Number.
If the displayed preset Code number is same as the printed Code Number on the vial, proceed to perform the blood glucose test as per section III- step 4.
If not, you must recode the meter as per step 2, 3 and 4 given below.

Step 2: Entering the Code Mode
Wait for 3 seconds for the display to change to blinking symbol Then, hold the button for 3 seconds. Pre set Code Number shows up, with a flashing digit. |

Step 3: Coding the Meter
The flashing digit can be changed by pressing the button. After you get the right digit, it will flash 3 times and move to the next digit, which can also be changed similarly by pressing the button. This way, set the code number to match with the code printed on the vial. |
|

Step 4: Exiting the Code Mode
After all digits are set, wait until the meter returns to the blinking blood symbol . It is now ready for testing. |
|

III. PERFORM THE BLOOD GLUCOSE TEST |
| |
Step 1: Washing you Hands
Wash your hands with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. |
|
|
| |
Step 2: Inserting the Test Strip
Insert the test strip into the strip slot, while putting the arrow marked side in. |
|
|
| |
Step 3: Checking the Code
Check if the display number matches the Code Number on the vial. If yes, you can perform blood test; otherwise refer to “Section II Code the Meter” to first code the meter.

Step 4: Entering the Test Code
When the blinking blood symbol appears, indicates Meter is ready for testing. |
|
|
| |
Step 5: Obtaining the Blood Sample
Hold the lancing device against the fingertip. Press the release button to prick your finger. Massage your finger to obtain a round drop of blood (at least 1.5 mL/0.0015 cc in volume).

|
|
| |
Step 6: Performing the Blood Glucose Test
While applying the blood sample, touch the side of the test strip directly to your finger. The test strip is built with capillary action on either side to assure quick and accurate readings.
|
|
|
| |
Step 7: Displaying Test Results
The test result is displayed and saved within 15 seconds.
Remove the test strip to turn off the meter.
|
|
|

NOTE:
The normal blood glucose range is 70 to 105 mg/dL (3.8 to 5.8 mmol/L) 1 for a fasting, non-diabetic adult, but less than 140 mg/dL (7.7 mmol/L) 2 two hours after meals. Consult your healthcare professional to find out your target blood sugar value.

IV. RECALL FROM THE MEMORY |

The meter automatically stores the latest 100 test results |
| |
Step 1: Entering the Memory Mode
Hold the button to enter the Memory Mode. |
|
|
| |
Step 2: Accessing Memory
Press the button to select the memory number, and release the button to retrieve the result.
|
|
|
| |
Step 3: Exiting the Memory Mode
Hold the button to turn off the meter.
The meter will turn off automatically in 3 seconds.
|
|
|
| |
|
| |
V. REPLACING THE BATTERY |
| |
Step 1: Opening the Battery Compartment
Use a coin to open the battery compartment cover by turning counter-clockwise. |
|
|
| |
Step 2: Removing the Battery
To remove the battery, lightly tap the meter against the palm of your hand. |
|
|
| |
Step 3: Inserting Battery
In an angle, insert the battery into the metallic hook of the battery holder with the positive side up. Press it down into the holder to install the battery. Use only Lithium 3V Disc Battery (CR2032 or equivalent).

Step 4: Closing the Battery Compartment
Turn clockwise to close the battery compartment cover. |
|
|
| |
|
